Social action is about people coming together to help improve their lives and solve the problems that are important in their communities. We encourage JSocs to run their own projects on campus, and the great thing about social action is that it can be incorporated into all events. To discuss a social action idea, please be in touch!

Mitzvah Day
Get your JSoc involved for Mitzvah Day!!
Mitzvah Day 2023 - 19th November 2023
This year for Mitzvah Day UJS did a Winter Warmers collection in collaboration with Jewish Care. The warm items collected were donated to Homeless Action in Barnet.
On campus, JSocs got involved in projects including food bank collections, soup kitchen volunteering, food packing, litter pick-ups, and clothing collections. It was great to see that many of these initiatives were done in collaboration with other faith societies on campus!
