Approx Jewish Students on campus: 5+

Towards the end of 2023 we held our first event - a cosy Havdalah in collaboration with the Norwich Jewish community, and this term we have plans for another communal Havdalah, a Tu B’Shvat craft session, events for Valentine’s day and more! We will also be joining with UEA Jsoc for a Friday Night Dinner, so watch this space!

Campus Notes
Norwich is a small and quirky city, with lots of independent bookshops and cafes to study. There’s plenty of access to nature too (check out the Plantation gardens for a treat). Fun fact: Norwich residents are very proud of their football club, Norwich City FC, nicknamed the canaries, and Delia Smith (maybe your mum has one of her cookbooks?!) is majority shareholder! Jsoc trip to the footie anyone? Norwich’s traditional designation is “a fine city” and it's not hard to see why!

Kosher Food & Accommodation 
There is no designated accommodation for Jewish students or specifically kosher shops. However, the local Waitrose in the city centre, and in Earlham, both have a kosher aisles; a result of the local Jewish community successfully lobbying Waitrose in 2015. Kosher food can also be ordered in from London, a good option as it arrives quickly.
